Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Coachino.ai, operated by Coachino Technologies Inc.. By creating an account or booking a session you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

1. What Coachino is

Coachino is a platform that connects athletes with coaches and handles the scheduling, court reservation and payment around a session. The coaching itself is provided by the coach, not by Coachino. We are not a party to the coaching relationship, we do not employ coaches, and we do not supervise or guarantee the quality or safety of any session.

2. Your account

You must be at least 13 to hold an account, and old enough to enter a contract to book a paid session. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. Give us accurate information, and keep it current — particularly the address we message you at.

3. Bookings and payment

Prices are set by the coach and shown before you pay. Payment is taken at booking, by card through Stripe or from your prepaid Coachino wallet. Wallet balances are credit toward sessions on Coachino: they are not a deposit account, they earn no interest, and they are not redeemable for cash.

In a shared session, the price is divided between the players who have joined. If more players join after you, your share falls and the difference is refunded to your wallet — joining a session never results in a surprise additional charge.

4. Changing or cancelling a session

The reason for the deadline is that a coach has held that time and turned other work away, and inside two days the slot cannot realistically be resold. A cancellation made before the deadline is refunded in full to your Coachino wallet.

Two exceptions, both in your favour:

• If a session is booked inside the 48-hour window, you may still cancel free of charge for a short period after booking — you are never locked in the moment you pay.
• If the coach cancels, you are refunded in full regardless of timing.

A rescheduled session keeps the same coach, length and price. Shared sessions cannot be rescheduled by one participant, because the time belongs to everyone in them.

We send a reminder 72 hours before each session — a day before the deadline — precisely so that you have time to change it while changing it is still free.

5. Messaging

We send messages about sessions you booked, on the channels you have connected. What we send, where we send it, and how to stop it is set out in full in our Privacy Policy.

In short: transactional messages about your bookings are part of the service; promotional messages require your express consent and are off unless you turn them on; and you can stop messages at any time from the unsubscribe link in any message, by replying STOP on a messaging channel, or by emailing us — without signing in.

Standard message and data rates from your carrier or messaging provider may apply. We rely on third-party networks to deliver messages and cannot guarantee that any individual message arrives or arrives on time, so please do not treat a reminder as the only record of a session — your bookings are always in the app.

6. Coaches

As a coach you set your own rates, availability and cancellation posture within the rules above. You are responsible for holding any qualification, insurance and permission your jurisdiction and facility require, for the accuracy of your public profile, and for the conduct of your sessions. You are responsible for your own tax.

If you connect a court-booking system, you authorise us to reserve and release courts on your behalf for sessions booked through Coachino. Court availability comes from your facility's system, and we cannot guarantee a court is held if that system rejects or loses a reservation — we tell you when that happens so you can fix it.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use Coachino to:

• impersonate another person, coach or athlete;
• harass, threaten or endanger anyone;
• take bookings or payments outside the platform to avoid its rules;
• scrape, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service;
• upload anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to share.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where we do, we will refund any unused wallet balance unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

8. Availability

We work to keep Coachino running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or withdraw features. If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice and refund unused wallet balances.

9. Liability

Coachino is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for injury or dispute arising from coaching itself, or for the acts of a coach, athlete, club or facility. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights — the cancellation deadline, fees, or how we message you — we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Coachino after that means you accept the change.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction.
