PPA Tour Asia adds Thailand and Philippines to its 2027 calendar

Thailand and the Philippines will host PPA Tour Asia events for the first time in 2027. The opening schedule features PPA Asia 500 tournaments in Bangkok, Manila, Penang and Ho Chi Minh City. Bangkok opens proceedings on 27–31 January 2027, followed by Manila on 24–28 February 2027. The circuit then returns to Malaysia and Vietnam in March. Ranking points from these events count toward qualification for the PPA Finals in California, with further calendar announcements still to come.

    Singapore pickleball debut draws more than 1,000 players

    More than 1,000 players competed in Singapore’s inaugural OCBC-Great Eastern Pickleball Open, which concluded at OCBC Arena on 25 October 2026. Participants ranged from 13 to 75, with entrants travelling from Australia, India and Thailand. Christopher Encarnacion and Ralph Kevin Barte secured the Open title, defeating Charles Yong and Ng Ka Wei 15-10, 15-14. Beyond the finals, 10 beneficiaries of Care Corner Seniors Services entered the Novice category after taking part in a free training programme, connecting community coaching with tournament participation.
